Obituary of Dr. Neeti Kapur

Dr. Neeti Kapur, 40, on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 left her parents Rakesh and Neena Kapur; brother Rohit Kapur and wife, Manvi; niece Inaaya Kapur, and a host of many other loving family members and friends to cherish her memories. Neeti was born on September 13, 1981, in India. She was an extremely brilliant girl from a very young age. Neeti received her undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from Punjab University, in India. She was a valedictorian of her class. Following graduation, Neeti received a full academic scholarship to attend the University of Virginia. She received her Masters and PHD from UVA and graduated with honors. She has been a topper both in Graduate and Post graduate studies. She has lived in USA from 2002. Her services in profession left a mark in Research and Development both in studies and industry she worked in. After completing her illustrious education, Neeti began a very promising career with Nano Stellar in California. In 2012 she moved to Houston, Texas, to work for Kior. Neeti was a research scientist and many of her papers were published over the years. She was working in Albermarle when she left us for her heavenly abode. Her teachers and employers have sent messages of sadness on her departure. Neeti was a very dedicated scientist who worked until the day before she passed. She has left vast vision in the field she had specialised to perform in. An avid reader, Neeti loved poetry, nature and travelling. She was a loving, caring and thoughtful person. She enjoyed yoga and going to the gym. Neeti loved her work, and always wanted to make her father and mother proud. Neeti was an extremely strong-willed woman and would not settle with imperfection either at home or work. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and loved her.
