Obituary of Jane Dymond Weiman

Please share a memory of Jane to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Jane Dymond Weiman, 97, went to meet her Lord surrounded by family on Friday, July 1, 2022.  She is preceded in death by her parents Simon and Alice Uglow, sister Opal Merrifield, first husband of 10 years Jerome Cummings, daughters Christine Cummings and Marie Cummings, son Patrick Cummings, grandson Eric Cummings,  and her loving Husband of 57 years Edward Weiman.  Left to cherish her memory are her sons Jim Cummings and wife Janet, David Weiman and wife Sarah; daughters Kathy Shatto and husband Alf, Mary Bourgeois and husband Gary, Yvonne Kelley and husband Greg.  She had seventeen grandchildren, thirty-two great grandchildren, eight great great grandchildren, and a host of many other dear family and friends.  She would say that “she was rich with children”.

Jane was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, aunt, and friend.  We consider her legacy to be her religious devotion, instilling Christian values in all her children and inspiring her newest generation.  Her loving nature to everyone she met infectiously brought all who came into contact with her to feel welcomed and as part of the family.  She was the best listener!  She was a homemaker, very creative, and talented.  She loved to write letters to family and friends, and would often include newspaper clippings of things she knew were of interest to them.  In her later years, she continued to reach out and connect through social media.  She had many hobbies, loved to sew, quilt, make stuffed animals, decorate cakes and Christmas cookies.  Everything had a value to her and could be re-purposed one day.  She collected stamps, maps and encouraging Bible verses.  Jane also enjoyed gardening and watching nature, especially the birds and butterflies.  She was a member of the Women’s Club and Garden Club.  She volunteered to mentor young children in elementary school and also for the 4H club members, in her earlier years.  She worked various jobs, from running a resort in Townsend, Wisconsin to being a chef for UW Whitewater.  Jane will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
