Obituary of Diana Susan Ford
Diana Susan Ford - Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, and Grandmother - a woman who loved well and was well-loved. Diana succumbed to her injuries that she sustained in a car accident and slipped away peacefully at Memorial Hermann Hospital Thursday afternoon, July 7, 2022 at the age of 73.
Diana was the second oldest of four children born August 17, 1948 to Benny and Sally Wilson of Mission, TX. At the time, Benny was the master canal supervisor of Hidalgo County Districts 7 & 14 and Sally worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Diana, also known as “Diner Sue”, graduated from Mission High School and then moved around Texas before settling down in Houston. She married Scott Ford on August 21, 1982 and devoted her time to taking care of her husband while raising her children. Anyone who knew Diana knew that her grandchildren were the light of her life and they affectionately called her “GaGa”. She loved spending time with them and always knew how to keep them laughing. Diana enjoyed all different types of music, trying new recipes, and shopping. Her hair and nail days were also something she always made time for and looked forward to. As Diana got older she felt a calling to help her loved ones when their health was failing, and she helped take care of so many during difficult times. She was a strong Christian woman and always believed in the power of prayer. The family is comforted knowing she is with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as well as being reunited with her one and only son, Hans. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Diana was preceded in death by her parents Sally and Benny Wilson, her son Hans Michael Wagner Jr., and most recently her Aunt “DoDo” Dorothy Tubbe, whom she was very close to, along with other family members she adored. She was survived by her husband of nearly 40 years, Scott Ford, Daughters: Mackenzie Winne and her husband Kyle, Heather Johnson and husband Brandon; Siblings: Ann Bynum, Tommy Wilson, and Bobby Wilson; Grandchildren: Kameron, Kayden, Gabi, Hans Michael Wagner III, and Tristan, and a host of nieces, nephews, and lots of cousins.
Services for Diana will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2022. Visitation is scheduled from 10:00-11:00 am. The funeral service will follow immediately at 11:00 am. She will be laid to rest at South Park Cemetery in Pearland, TX
