So I worked as a vendor partner with Walter for several years during the implementation of Smart Grid at CenterPoint Energy, then the most advanced distribution management system for a large metropolitan power company, in the world. Walter was always a pleasure to work with on this project, and others too....straight shooter, not a sugar-coater, but good listener and fair judge. I am so happy that I called him a few months back to wish him well in his struggles, and we had a good conversation and he expressed appreciation for my gesture. Rest in Peace Walter. Mr. Walter was my neighbor a kind man.
Always working in his yard and I always had question when I saw him. And he would give me an answer not to tarry long getting back to his lawn. We knew something was wrong when he allow someone else to care for his lawn. So I thank God for allowing him to be my neighbor.

My condolences to Walters family and friends. I worked with Walter for many, many years. If there was ever one individual that was always smiling, had a great attitude no matter what and could make a person smile just seeing them, it was Walter. He was so level headed and easy to work with and be around. I know he will be missed by so many. Please have faith that he is no longer in pain and that he waits for you in Heaven.
