Obituary of Emerenciana Medina Caparas
Emerenciana Medina Caparas, 83, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 18, 2022. She is preceded in death by her parents Remigio and Maria Medina; loving husband of more than forty years, Magno Caparas Sr.; six brothers; and one sister. Left to cherish Emerenciana’s memory are her sons Magno Caparas Jr. (Mildred), Bobby Caparas (Venus), Willy Caparas (Rizza), Lando Caparas (Tricia); daughters Billie Zaporteza (Emil), Dory Silverio (Greg), Pure Allego (Abner), Susie Guillermo (Jun), Ahya Bickers (Jeff); sister Carmen Villadarez; twenty-five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren, and a host of many other dear family and friends.
Emerenciana truly loved the Lord and was extremely strong in her faith. She cherished her family and always loved the times most when everyone could be together. She was a thoughtful host and always made sure everyone was well fed. She was a selfless and generous person, always thinking of others and putting their needs first. She relished shopping for herself, but she liked shopping for others even more. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking, and interior decorating. Emerenciana always kept her home, as well as herself, looking the best she could.
Emerenciana was known for her austere and tough persona, but when her faith in the Lord grew, she instead became more well-known for her generosity, kindness, and gregarious spirit. In the Philippines, she helped establish the Christian Bible Church Emmanuel in her hometown, always giving generously to the Church and adoring the fellowship from those who came to worship together. She enjoyed mission trips and supported them financially even when she was unable to go herself. Emerenciana will be missed immensely, but her legacy will live on through her family and the countless lives she touched with her generosity and loving nature.
