Obituary of Jody Camille Lykins

Jody Camille Lykins, 74, passed away Friday, July 22, 2022. She is preceded in death by her father Hugh Linton Tompkins III; mother Josephine Christiani Tompkins; stepfather Raymond Bergenholtz; son David Thomas Norris. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Julie Christine Provine; brother Hugh Thompkins III and wife, Vicki; son-in-law John David Provine; grandchildren John David Provine II, Joseph Allen Provine III, Julian Thomas Provine, and a host of many other family and friends.

Jody was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend who cherished time spent with her family and friends. She was a devoted “Mimi” who loved her grandchildren more than anything else in the world and was extremely proud of them. Jody was a dedicated, driven, and independent woman who was also intuitive and courageous. She was a child advocate and business owner for thirty years.

Jody was known to be a passionate person and very proud of her Italian heritage. She loved cooking her favorite dishes for family and friends. Jody was also an animal lover who was especially fond of dogs. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing tennis and golf. Jody had a wonderful sense of humor and could be quite funny. But most of all she was loved. Loved by all who were lucky enough to know her. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Services for Jody will be held on Friday, August 12, 2022, at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 West Broadway, Pearland, Texas. Visitation is scheduled from 4:00 – 5:00 pm. The funeral service will follow at 5:00 pm.
