RJ was one of the nicest, intelligent, and remarkable boss I ever had during my working career. Although he did not know it, he was my mentor. I loved him dearly because he was honest, fair, and handled himself with great integrity. He is well missed. Tribute to Roy
I can't find enough words to express how truly Blessed we were to have Roy as our big brother. He was always kind hearted and loving. He loved God and his family. He never forgot where he came from.
He always taught us to stick together and love each other. Also to be a leader not a follower.
He was always full of joy and laughter and had a big contagious smile that would light up any room.
He always had a positive attitude and was the glue that kept the family together.
May his love, inspirations, and advice remain in our hearts forever.

I was fortunate to have worked for RJ at EEOC. RJ was so full of life ! He loved people. He was always smiling and positive, always uplifting. I can probably count on one hand the number of people I’ve met in life with all those qualities on display each day. The first day we met him he told us how he was going to help each one of us to do our best. He did so ! He helped his employees in every way he could. We did great work with RJ but it was never only about work. I remember him walking around at Christmas time, sitting in employee offices, asking how they were and telling them to go home to be with family. One of our best investigators was having personal issues and considering leaving the service. RJ went in their office, told them he valued their work, asked what he could do to help and offered them 6 months of leave to get help. There are so many stories like that. Attached is a voice message RJ left for me after the birth of my first born. This is classic RJ !
