Obituary of John William Wells

John William Wells passed away Thursday, September 1^st, at the age of 70. He is preceded in death by his parents, Z. Robert and Lenora Wells; brother, James Hennessey; and son-in-law Jason Hughes. Left to cherish John’s memory are his wife of many years, Sandy Wells; daughters, Ginger Hughes, April Fluitt and husband Daniel; brother, Benjamin Wells; faithful canine companion Ruby; and a host of other family and friends.

John was the kind of man you could always count on. You could depend on his help no matter what. John enjoyed making barbecue and hosting cookouts for his friends and family. Spending time with them was always a cherished activity for John.

There were many hobbies John enjoyed, and they all took place out in nature. He loved to go hunting, fishing, surfing, and go for long motorcycle rides. In his teenage years, he met the love of his life Sandy on a Galveston beach while he was surfing. Whether he was catching a wave, hosting a barbecue, or enjoying a hunt, John loved to spend his time outdoors. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Memorial service for John will be held at 1:00 pm, on Friday, September 16^th, at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581.
