Obituary of Martha "Elizabeth" Warren
Martha “Elizabeth” Warren was born October 5, 1920, along with her twin sister, Helen Miller, in Galveston, Texas, to Roscoe and Louise McKinley. She passed away Friday, September 9, 2022, at the age of 101, in Pearland, Texas.
Elizabeth was strong in her faith, and always enjoyed her daily Bible readings while drinking her morning coffee. She made sure to take care of herself throughout her life and she walked two miles every day, seven days a week. Elizabeth loved working her cryptogram puzzles with her twin sister. She was always up to and loved a challenge, Elizabeth taught herself how to type and even how to use a computer. She used these skills for 25 years working at the College of the Mainland. Elizabeth will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Elizabeth is preceded in death by her parents, her five siblings, and loving husband, Mayo Bruce Warren. She is survived by her daughters Carolyn Logan (Ralph), Jane Battle (Randy); grandchildren Laura Crow (David), Brian Logan (Kristin), Brett Battle; great grandchildren Kaitlyn Crow, Madilyn Crow, Abigail Logan, Harper Logan, Allie Battle, Damian Battle, Shaun Battle, Olivia Battle, and a host of many other dear family and friends.
Services for Elizabeth will be held Friday, September 23, 2022, at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 West Broadway, Pearland, Texas. Visitation is scheduled from 12:00 – 1:00 pm. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery, in Galveston, Texas.
