Obituary of Sharon Ruth Travis

Sharon Travis, 76, passed Wednesday, September 14th. Sharon is preceded in death by her parents Sidford and Sophia Walters; brothers, Dennis Walters and Jerry Walters; and sisters, Monica Riess and Delores White. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Richard Travis; sons, Jeff Medeiros and significant other Gina, and Steven Travis and significant other Sherry; daughter, Michelle Calvert and husband Louis; grandchildren, Jessica, Amber, Benjamin, and Natalie; great-grandchildren, Camila, Dylan, Sam, Ian, Adalind and Grayson and a host of many other family and friends.

Sharon was a dedicated wife and mother who thought the world of her family. She loved to spoil her grand and great-grandchildren and was a devoted dog parent to her beloved dog “Sandman”. Sharon was an excellent cook and was known for her famous Chocolate Sheet Cake. Travelling was a thrill to Sharon; she loved to experience and explore new places. Sharon cherished every chance she had to spend time with family and friends, especially when there was a good margarita involved. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A Memorial service will be held at the Clayton Funeral Home Chapel, 201 S. 3^rd St. LaPorte, Tx 77571, on Tuesday September 20^th, at 6:00 PM.
