Obituary of David Wayne Harmon

David Wayne Harmon, 68, passed away Friday, November 25, 2022. He is preceded in death by his father Delmar Harmon. Left to honor his memory are his mother, Sue Harmon; loving wife of 46 years,

Kathleen Harmon; daughter Allynn Harmon and husband, Travis; son David Harmon and wife, Meaghan; daughter Christine Chittenden and husband, Brad; brothers Alan Harmon and wife, Jeanine, Rick Harmon and wife, Raquel, Stuart Harmon and wife, Michele; sisters Jan Parsons and husband, Gerald, Beth Holmgren; grandchildren Gabriel, David, Cherish, Jonathan, Esmé, and many other family and friends.

 

Dave was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was adventurous, independent and strong-willed. In his younger years he was an avid fencer and tennis player. Throughout his life he loved camping, sailing and fishing. Dave was a Civil War and history buff. In his spare time, he enjoyed a rousing game of backgammon or chess and cheering on his teams, the Houston Astros and the Dallas Cowboys. He spoiled his family with fancy and experimental home-cooked meals.

 

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in David's memory to the charity of your choice.

 

A memorial service for Dave will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at 10:00 am, at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 West Broadway, Pearland, Texas. Friends and family are welcome to gather at Dave and Kathy’s home after the service.
