Obituary of Charles Martin Schoppe

Charles Schoppe, 82, passed away Monday December 5, 2022. He is preceded in death by his parents, Elo Adam and Ida Valeria Swierkowski Schoppe; and sisters, Maudie Neeb, Shirley Talash, and Jacqulyn Russo. Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Todd Schoppe and wife Adrienne, and Russell Schoppe and wife JoHannah; daughter, Sherri Walker and husband David; brother, Joseph Schoppe and wife Jackie; grandchildren, Megan Herbst and husband Miles, McKenna Campbell and husband Shane, Ryan Schoppe, Reese Schoppe, Heidi McNeeley and husband Jason, and Holli Walker; great-grandchildren, Millie and Miles, and a host of other family and friends.

Charles was a man who cherished time spent with his family. He loved coaching his children in all the different sports they were involved in while they were growing up. Charles was also very supportive of his grandchildren and loved attending their sporting events. He loved watching the La Porte Bulldog football team on Friday nights in the press box at Bulldog Stadium.

In his younger years Charles worked for the IBM corporation. When he left IBM, Charles began his own business, Schoppe Pest Control, in LaPorte, Texas. He loved his customers and took great pride in his work. In his spare time Charles loved working in his yard. He was very meticulous about it, to say the least. Charles loved spending the time it took to perfect it to his liking. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Services for Charles will be: Visitation Friday December 9^th, from 9:00 to 10:00 am., followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am., at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church, 916 Park St., LaPorte. Interment will follow at My Lady of the Lourdes Cemetery in Caldwell Texas.
