I am saddened to read of Susan’s passing, but I hope her family members receive this message. Susan’s work helped me to process deep grief and trauma. She was so courageous in her work—and so hopeful that no one was beyond help. I admired her commitment to all humans, no matter the struggles and trauma they had created in their own lives and the lives of others. Everyone needs love, and Susan tried to live that message. Thank you, Susan, for helping me.

Not a day passes that I do not think of my friend, Susan. I am so thankful to have known such an amazing person. She was an honest, trustworthy, and a very caring friend.
Susan, I miss your friendship, our chats, your wisdom, and all the laughter we shared. I am thankful for the times we had together, I wish there had been more. You were my best friend.

I’m devastated to hear this news. I was looking to Susan’s information for a colleague who is in need of a high quality addictions therapist. Susan immediately came to mind. I’m so shocked to hear about her passing. I worked with Susan at Eddins Counseling Group and learned so much for her along the way. I remember her being such a kind, gentle and helpful soul. May she rest in peace.

Although I didn’t know Mrs. Battle personally. I know she loved her fur sons very much. Seeing her walk through the vet clinic doors would bring a smile to my face everyday. After hearing about her passing my heart hurt for Odi and Jakie. I toke Jakie into my home and have been loving on him ever since. I know Jakie misses his momma, and I hope I can give Jakie the amount of love that Mrs. Battle gave him

Susan was my dear and very special friend. We shared many things in common besides both being therapists. We also shared a similar sence of humor. We could always trust each other to be there, often calling one another, sometimes in tears, when we encountered injustices in life, be it to persons or animals. Susan was admittedly not always good at making financial decisions. We decided I would be her "financial sponsor." She would call when she was planning to make a purchase. As her "financial sponsor," we would discuss it, my giving her my opinion. Often she would take my advise, except when it came to buying cars. She'd say "cars are my weakness." Her passing has left not only a hole in my heart but a hole in my life. However, I am convinced that our animals go to heaven, and it comforts me to know that Susan and Casey are happily back together.
