Obituary of Matthew "Matt" Davis
Matthew “Matt” Davis, 22, of La Porte, Texas passed in his sleep on December 29, 2022. He was born in Pasadena, Texas on September 4, 2000, to parents, Angela Green and Ron Davis. He graduated from La Porte High School in 2019 as a top 100 Academic Achiever. He was currently taking online classes at San Jacinto College. He had a passion for art and graphic design.
Matthew is preceded in death by his grandparents, Carnell and Dean Davis, Pat and Suette Green, and Sut Braselton. Matthew is survived by his parents Angela and Ron, sister Alaina Adams and her husband Nathan and their two children Lily and Jason; brother Chris Davis; brother Clay Stowe and Farrrah and their two children Garrett and Braelynn; his grandmother Francine Braselton; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins whom he adored. He also cherished his lifelong best friend Tiger Garcia as a brother.
He was currently working at GameStop and loved sharing his knowledge and passion for video games, pop culture and professional sports. His favorite sports teams were the Houston Texans, Kansas City Chiefs, but above all the Houston Astros, who were kind enough to gift him with a thrilling victory in the World Series Championship again in 2022. He was a lover of board games and was happiest when surrounded by family. Christmas was his favorite time of the year, and we were so blessed to have another precious time together this past Christmas.
He was a kind, big-hearted young man who did not hesitate to lend a helping hand in a moment’s notice. His hilarious sense of humor and mischievous smile will always bring us cherished memories.
