Obituary of David Harold Brownstein

Please share a memory of David to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Our beloved family member, David Brownstein, died suddenly and unexpectedly on March 28, 2011, at his home in Pearland, Texas. David, age 61, was the third son of Julius Brownstein, now deceased, and Jewell Rae Brownstein, who lives in Houston. After graduating from Ray High School in Corpus Christi, David was a loyal employee for many years with Electrotex both in Houston and in Dallas. He was also a licensed Defensive Driving Instructor for the State of Texas. He moved to Pearland to become the office manager for his brother Ronnie Brownstein’s law practice. His family is pleased to have shared with David his pride and pleasure in his new home in Pearland. David will always be remembered for his deep sense of loyalty, for his easy temperament and his joyful sense of humor. He was an Eagle Scout, Scoutmaster, and available to anyone in need. He was also a natural athlete, being a skilled tennis player and an All-Star baseball player in his youth, and an avid bowler as an adult. David will be missed beyond measure by his friends and family. These include, residing in Pearland, his brother Ronnie and his wife Lesa; in Houston, his mother Jewell Rae and his sister Debbie, his brother Bobby and his wife Carla, his cousins Roanne and Bill Stern and Eric and Carol Nelson; in Austin, his brother Larry and his sister Cheryl and her husband Walter; and his many nephews and nieces. The family invites you to contribute to the American Diabetes Association or a charity of your choice in David’s name. A family memorial service will be held for David. We will always love you David. Always.
