Obituary of Douglas Alan Lutz
Douglas Alan Lutz, 75, passed away Monday, March 6, 2023. He is preceded in death by his parents Harry and Florence Lutz. Left to cherish his memory are his daughters Kimberley Harvill and husband, Matthew, Bethany Young and husband, Wayne; grandchildren Madison Howard, Reagan Harvill, Peyton Harvill, Carson Harvill, Ryan Young; his beloved dog “Sophie Mae”, as well as a host of other family and friends.
Doug was a loving father and grandfather who was a wonderful provider for his family. He loved traveling to new destinations and was equally adventurous with new foods. Doug was extremely intelligent and enjoyed good conversation and debating political perspectives. He also had a great sense of humor. Doug proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. After completing his tour, he went to work for ALCOA as a computer analyst where he had a successful career of twenty-nine years. Doug was able to enjoy a long retirement. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A graveside committal Service is scheduled on April 21, 2023, at 2:30 pm, at The Houston National Cemetery, in Houston, Texas.
