Obituary of Hazel Ionie White

Hazel Ionie White, age 70, of Pearland, passed away unexpectedly on April 24, 2008. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles White and son, Byron White. Hazel is survived by a loving family, sons, Dexton Britton & his wife Sylvia, Horace Roberts, Hervin Whyte, and Jerome White & his wife Lisa; daughters, Joy Johnson & her husband Edward, Judith Laing, and Novelette Laing Witt & her husband Michael; twelve grandchildren; other relatives and a host of friends. Hazel was born in Clarendon, Jamaica. She lived in Rochester, New York until relocating to Pearland in January 2008. Hazel was a loving mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Visitation for Hazel will be held from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Friday, May 2, 2008, at the Metropolitan Funeral Chapel, 109 West Avenue, Rochester, New York, 14611. A Celebration of Hazel’s Life will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 3, 2008, also at Metropolitan Funeral Chapel.
