From Brenda Detiege Romain & Michael Romain:
From Brenda:
Dennie, you are at peace now. We will dearly miss you. When we were retired, we saw each other more, and we’re doing things together, like going to the Fairgrounds race course Clubhouse to eat and play the horses. You told many jokes, you remembered and had us laughing a lot. We talked many times on the phone about old times and how mama used to say funny things in French creole! But now you are in heaven, playing golf with daddy on God’s heavenly golf course. Love and miss you big brother!
From Michael: R.I.P. Brother In Law, you are finally with your five girlfriends, you had, since being a teenager, being married, and after being married! So tell Miss driver, Miss wood, miss Putter, miss wedge and miss iron that I said hello while you are golfing in heaven! We will miss your jokes, and your always jovial nature.

Hi new Dennis before I knew Iris. Dennis and my brother raised pigeons. Then I met Dennis a game when we ran track against each other. Dennis always left me in the dust. We were 16 and 17 years old . I remember one time when we were playing golf. Dennis and I played against the pros as a team and we lead the tournament. The first date are used to call Dennis red. Dennis was a great brother-in-law and a lot of fun always laughing and telling jokes I remember one time Dennis came to Mississippi to watch Nakia play golf and I saw Dennis with a Coke and a big hamburger. I said Dennis where did you get that from and he said Kerrie told me to put it on 263 and laugh. When Dennis came for the Christmas holidays, he was the life of the party. I will greatly miss my brother-in-law.

My finest memories of my brother Dennis whom I called jaDennie and who called me Jawan, was looking in his pockets when I was a child as he came off the golf course looking for money, so I can buy candy! When I was able to a few years ago, before I got metastatic cancer, was taking him to his doctor visits driving from Cypress Texas. It was fun, taking him and listening to him talk about people in a comical way! Then he always had to get Burger King, french fries and dessert. He was so hilarious then we used to sit up there and talk about the crazy stuff my parents used to do to make us laugh!
