Rosalba Escamilla, 66, passed away Saturday, July 8, 2023. She is preceded in death by her father Lorenzo Gomez; mother Martha Esquivel; and son Jr. Left to cherish her memory are her sons Ricky Gonzalez, Rosendo Escamilla and wife, Angel; daughters Amy Short, Rosa Linda Beltran and husband, Ramiro, Janie Gomez and husband, Ando; grandchildren Melanie, Alex, C.J., Aydin, Marcos, Jasmine, Martha, Yesenia, Annabel, Billy, Drew, Cecilia, Ram, Aaron, Briana, Arianna, Aubrey, King; and a great grandchild on the way.

 

Rosalba was selfless and loved helping others. One of Rosalba’s favorite places to visit was the beach. She loved the fresh air, the sound of the waves, and the feeling of sand between her toes. Spending time there brought her peace and joy. Rosalba also loved taking her grandchildren to the park and the pool. She loved to cook and dance, especially to Tejano music. Rosalba loved to travel any chance that she got. She was a very passionate person, and when she loved, she loved with her whole heart. Rosalba will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

 

Services for Rosalba will be held on Monday, July 17, 2023, at Clayton Funeral Home, 201 S. 3rd Street, LaPorte, Texas. Visitation is scheduled from 1:00 – 2:00 pm. The funeral will follow at 2:00 pm.
