Obituary of Alicia Ann Howard
Alicia Ann Northen Howard, 87, passed away Friday, July 28, 2023. She is preceded in death by her Parents Clarence and Ruth Northen; Loving Husband James D. “Doug” Howard; Son Mark Corder; Brothers Wayne Northen, Doyle Northen, Billy Northen, Joe Mack Northen; and Sister Mary Woodard. Left to cherish her memory are her sons Marvin Howard and wife, Marlene, Darrell Howard and wife Mexhide, Chris Corder; Daughter Carol Kelly and Husband, Steve; Brother James Northen; Grandchildren: Stephanie, Hannah, Evane, Campbell, Larisa, Martha, Mary, Mariam, Michael, Tobias, Sarah, Edonisa, Meleesa, Kelli, Kristi, Jeremy; Eight Great Grandchildren with one on the way.
Alicia was a loving, caring Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother who was the best cuddler ever. She had a successful career as a registered Nurse who retired from the V.A. Hospital. In her spare time Alicia enjoyed painting, quilting, gardening, and cooking. She loved being able to teach her granddaughters all her hobbies. Alicia also loved traveling whenever she could. She was a competitive board gamer who had a sharp wit and a quick zing; she had a servant’s heart and never held a grudge. Alicia will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A visitation for Alicia is scheduled from 5:00 - 7:00 pm, on Thursday, August 3, 2023, at Clayton Funeral Home, 201 S. 3rd Street, LaPorte, Texas. A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 4, at 10:00 am, at LaPorte Cemetery, in LaPorte, Texas, with Pastor Marvin Howard officiating.
