Obituary of Nora Leticia Ruiz

Nora Leticia Ruiz, 61, passed away on Monday, September 18^th, 2023. She is preceded in death by her father, Fidencio C. Ruiz and her sister, Sandra Ruiz. Left to cherish Nora’s memory are her loving mother of 84 years, Victoria Ruiz Villarreal; sisters, Sonia Abrego and husband Jaime, and Maria Victoria Moreno and husband Roland; brothers, Fidencio Ruiz Jr. and wife Melody; Ramiro Ruiz and wife Marlen, nieces and nephews Jaime Abrego Jr., Leonel Abrego, Victor Abrego, Brianna Kareny Abrego, Christopher Ruiz, Elijah Ruiz, Ruby Felicitas Ruiz, Elva Marie Zires, Christian Vasquez, Jaquelyn Nicole Moreno, Isabel Simone Moreno, Ramiro Ruiz Jr., Sophia Myreya Ruiz and great nieces and nephews, along with a host of extended family and friends.

Nora was born in El Alamo, Vallecillo Nuevo Leon, a small town in northern Mexico on October 6, 1961.  She was a generous, intelligent, loving, kindhearted, and compassionate daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to many. Nora enjoyed music of all genres, movies, reading, baking, and crossword puzzles.  Her sense of humor and laughter were infectious when she was present.  She overcame her medical illnesses and despite two brain surgeries, having one kidney, and diabetes she still played an important role in caregiving for her parents.  She began bible study and became baptized as a Jehovah’s Witness on July 4^th, 2009, and undertook preaching work going door to door for as long as she was physically able.  She will forever be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral Services for Nora will be held at Clayton Funeral Home in Pearland, Texas, on Saturday, September 30^th, 2023. Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 10:00 am, with the Funeral Service commencing at 10:00 am.
