Sammie Eaton Hammers, born on July 24, 1948, embarked on her eternal journey on September 27, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Sammie leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and enduring memories that will forever live in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know her.
Sammie is survived by and was a dedicated and loving mother to her children: daughter Shaney Stover and her husband, Marty, their children, Mathew and Jessica Fetner, daughter Kerie Bradford and her husband, James, their child, Beatrice Potter, daughter Kathy Downing and her husband, Brett, their children, Chase and Myla Downing, son Sean Hammers and his wife, Stephanie, their children, Noah, Michael, and Matthew Hammers, Edward Hammers and his wife, Krystle, and their children, Addison, Rya, and Archer Hammers.
She devoted her life to nurturing and supporting her family, and her unwavering love served as a guiding light in their lives. Sammie had a warm and caring heart that extended not only to her family but to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was a friend to many, always ready with a kind word, a listening ear, and a comforting smile. Her presence could brighten even the darkest of days.
Throughout her life, Sammie possessed an unwavering spirit of resilience and optimism. She faced life's challenges with grace and courage, teaching her loved ones the invaluable lessons of strength and determination.
As we bid farewell to Sammie, we remember the joy she brought to our lives and the love she shared unconditionally. Her memory will continue to inspire us to live each day with the same love, warmth, and kindness that she exemplified.
Sammie may no longer be with us in person, but her spirit lives on in the hearts of those who cherished her. May her soul find eternal peace next to Jesus and may her memory be a blessing to us all.
Burial to be held Tuesday morning 10:00 AM, October 3 at the Morgans Point Cemetery.
