Obituary of Evelina Vera Cruz Tibubos

Evelina Vera Cruz Tibubos born on January 21, 1951, went to be with the Lord on November 23, 2023. She passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family.

Evelina was a Registered Nurse who had a gift for serving others. Her career led her to travel to various places in Philippines, Iran, Saudia Arabia and eventually settling in the United States in Houston, Texas. Throughout her 44-year career, she has worked as a Charge Nurse and Nursing Clinical Manager. She was very conscientious in serving her patients with dignity, respect, and compassion. Evelina also demonstrated this gift by mentoring and being preceptor to many nurses, sharing the experiences and skills that she gained over the years.

Evelina was a devoted and nurturing wife, mother, and friend. On June 9, 1985, she married Salvador Tibubos and built a beautiful life with their three children. They were each other’s pillar; guiding, supporting, and reassuring one another. To her children, Evelina was their nurse, teacher, friend, and confidant. She put so much effort into making sure her children were doing well in school, work, etc. She was their biggest cheerleader; always elated when they achieved their goals. She took care of her family and friends first and always put others before herself. Evelina will be remembered as a kind, joyful, generous, and hardworking individual.

Evelina is preceded in death by her parents, Purificasio and Soterania Vera Cruz; her mother and father-in-law Amando and Salvadora Tibubos; and brothers Rodrigo Vera Cruz and Rolando Vera Cruz. Evelina is survived by her loving husband Salvador Tibubos; daughter Lourellen Tibubos; sons Jun Tibubos and Mark Tibubos; sister Guillerma Bedonia; brother Joaquin Vera Cruz and her beloved dogs Louie and Pepper. Additionally, she leaves behind numerous nephews, nieces, family members, and friends who will greatly miss her.
