Obituary of Celia G. Zuniga

Celia G. “Sally” Zuniga passed away Thursday, January 19, 2006 at her home in Pearland surrounded by her loving family. Sally was born July 5, 1944 in San Antonio, Texas to the late Tony and Trinidad Bustamante Gonzales. She was a registered nurse by trade and was a parishioner of St. Helen Catholic Church. Sally is preceded in death by a son, Edward and is survived by a loving family; three sons, Corky and his wife, Patty, of Friendswood, Ruben and his wife, Sophia, of Plano and Michael and his wife, Leslie of Pearland; daughter, Rachel Spikes and her husband, Phillip, of Pearland; brother, Rudy Gonzales, of San Antonio; sister, Gloria Martinez, of San Antonio; six grandchildren, one great-grandson, numerous other relatives and a host of friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Friday, January 20, 2006, at Clayton Funeral Home of Pearland, where a vigil will be held at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM Saturday, January 21, 2006, at St. Helen Catholic Church, 2209 Old Alvin Road, Pearland with Rev. Msgr. Reginald R. Nesvadba celebrating. Interment will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery, in Webster.
