An Angel Took Me By The Hand
Today an angel took my hand,
as she quoted “Footprints in the Sand”.
"Follow me, says the Lord, I will walk by your side.
I will carry you always if in me you abide.”
So my faith in him has lead me today
To live with our Lord, to begin a new day.
And though you cannot see me,
I will always be around.
Within your dreams and memories,
There’s a place I can be found.
A gentle touch, a certain smell, a hint of laughter in the air
Will let you know I’m not so far, for you I will be there.
And when it’s time to reunite within the promised land,
The Lord will send an angel to take you by the hand.
