I have many fond memories of time spent together growing up. Christmas dinners at grandma D’s, camping in the north woods, hanging out with the rest of the cousins. Even as a kid it was evident cousin Scott would turn out to be an outstanding adult, father and mentor.

We are sorry to hear that Scott has passed away.
Scott was so cute when he was growing up. He always had a smile for everyone he met. He was the real deal with so much love for others. We are all so proud of him becoming an officer of the law.
I did send an email to him recently when I heard he had Cancer. He replied that everything was under control at that time.
Scott will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Scotty will always be my friend but was the best mentor and example of being a "GOOD GUY" I have ever known and I will always remember. He made me a better person and for that, I am forever grateful.
We worked together 20 years ago and I looked forward to coming to work every day because Scotty just made things fun. Being in a criminal investigation squad at the PD, the Lord only knew what the day had in store for us, until the case assignments were passed out. No matter how bad things were or how bad a case assignment was, Scott always had a way to make things better. If he couldn't give you a reason that made you feel better, there would be a comical answer like, "Ya, I guess that isn't a good case, but at least you're not as ugly as Mikey or Kenny!'
Scotty installed the BIG CITY "DETECTIVE" AWARD that was given out every Monday, to that detective that was voted on by the group as doing an outstanding job the prior week. He would present the certificate at a makeshift meeting with donuts and coffee available. Scotty simply made things better when he was there and better when he left.
Scotty has been my model for being a 'Good Guy" ever since that time.
The world has lost a "Good Guy" and my heart hurts. But I will never forget my buddy and my mentor, Scotty D Dombrowski

Attended the Houston Police Academy with Scott. He was the best pistol shot I have ever seen. He was like a machine. Years later he was my lieutenant in the Robbery division, he was a really great guy and we are diminished by his passing.
