Alicia graduated from Northern Antique High School in 1957 and later attended the University of Santo Tomas (Manila), graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy in 1967. From 1972 to 1982, Alicia worked as a Sugar Analyst and Researcher at the Philippine Sugar Commission. After emigrating to the United States, Alicia worked as a Pharmacy technician for Memorial Hermann Hospital from 1990 until her retirement in 2012.
Alicia was a caring and devoted mother, wife, grandmother, and friend to many. Her life’s principles centered in her faith in Lord Jesus Christ. His Word was her joy and daily inspiration. Alicia was known for her fine personal qualities, high moral principles, and ideals- a reflection of the meaning of her name “a noble kind.” She carried herself with grace and elegance at all times and held firm to her moral standards; all these values she carefully passed down to her children and grandchildren. Alicia was an avid reader of classics and biographies. She loved playing table tennis and was also crowned as a beauty queen during her youth. Though a career woman, she was a homemaker by heart- her joys were to bake for her family, tend to her garden and hosting gatherings at her home. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
