Mario Bruno Lamberto Codispoti, 75, passed away on April 26, 2011. He is preceded in death by his parents, Vincenzo and Maria Codispoti. Mario is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Dr. Lucy Lotito-Codispoti; sister, Teresa Ferminia Varano; father-in-law John Lotito; brother-in-law, Louis Lotito and his wife, Maria; sister-in-law, Phyllis Panzarella and her husband, Paul; nephews, Louis Varano and his wife Lisa, John Panzarella and Paul-Michael Panzarella; nieces, Victoria Marie Brantley and her husband, Steven, and Teresa Lotito; as well as a host of many other family and friends. Mario grew up in Brooklyn, New York and graduated from high school at Brooklyn Tech. He worked as a young man as a Systems Analyst where he had the opportunity to work on the original main frame computers. Mario lost his vision around the age of 35 and could no longer read print as a Systems Analyst so he changed career paths and got into politics as a career. He became the Chairman of the Republic Party of Rockland County New York and served as a Police Commissioner of the Suffern Police Department. Mario attended St. Thomas Aquinas College where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science. After serving as Commissioner for several years, he decided to branch out into real estate. He received his real estate license and ran his own real estate business. Mario started as a residential real estate agent and moved into commercial real estate and eventually became a broker who brought buyers together. Mario never let the fact that he lost his vision slow him down in any way. In fact, it made him a stronger person with a keen sense of business and working with people. Mario traveled extensively throughout Europe, Mexico, and the Middle East where he brokered all types of commodities. Mario lived life to the fullest and with a wonderful sense of humor. He was a very positive and motivating person. Mario loved Lucy and his family dearly. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
