Obituary of Tabitha Carter

Tabitha Nicole Carter, age 38, of Crosby, Texas passed away peacefully on Monday July 22, 2024 surrounded by family.

Tabitha was born on February 17, 1986, in Baytown Texas to her father Edward Dreyer and mother Ivy Berka.

She is survived by her loving husband Darrell Carter, her children, Aedan Kutchback, Braylee Carter, Brenley Carter, Kasen Carter as well as stepchildren, Darrel Carter Jr and wife Christie, Brent Carter, Christen Carter and spouse Spencer, Payton Carter and spouse Alison as well as grandchildren Bentley, Paisley, Maelynn and Leelon, mother, Ivy Berka, sisters Chandra Bean, Breann Parrott, Ashtyn Berka, brothers, Andrew Tanner and Blake Berka, Father in law Donald and wife Mary Carter, Brother in law Greg and wife Amy Carter, brother in law Donald and wife Kari Carter as well as many nieces and nephews she loved so deeply.

She is preceded in death by her father Edward Dreyer and brother Chad Dreyer and well as numerous other family members that she was so fond of.

Tabitha’s warrior spirit will live on forever through her family. She loved her family, and they meant the world to her. She loved the beach and loved taking family trips to the beach even after her diagnosis. She never wanted to miss a chance to create a memory and the memories they made on those trips will be forever cherished in her children’s hearts as they speak about the beach often and are always ready to go back. She also passed down her love for Christ. They would often attend church and listen to their favorite Christian music songs together.

Tabitha would always light up every room she was in. Whether it was speaking in her English accents for laughs or just cracking jokes to make others laugh, if she was in the room, you knew it. She was always a blast to be around and everyone who knew her will miss her infectious personality.

Tabitha’s family will hold a visitation on July 27^th, 2024 at 1pm at Clayton Funeral Home in La Porte, TX. Public viewing will be held from 1pm to 2PM and everyone is welcome with a service starting at 2pm.  At 3pm there will be a procession to La Porte Cemetery where a graveside service will be held. Following the service there will be a lunch for anyone who wants to attend at Greg and Amy Carter’s home in Deer Park.
