The word that comes to mind when I think of Linda is undaunted. She had health challenges that made it impossible for her to do some things she loved, like horseback riding. So she found new interests that she could do. Her curiosity and positive spirit were such a good example. She was a joy to be with.

Linda was one of my favorite people that I ever met. She was so peaceful and loved the chickens. She loved board games and never got mad over them or was rude about them. She was a really nice lady and I wish she was still here.

My afternoons were frequently spent playing Rummikub with Linda. I don't recall winning many games though! I remember her sitting on her cushioned chair at the head of the table with a cup of Utz Pub Mix. If we weren't playing Rummikub, she was showing me her plants, letting me feed her bird, or talking about her horses. I have a lot of memories from my time in Texas but some of the best were the simple ones shared with Linda. May her kindness, generosity, and strong, willing spirit be remembered.

Sincere condolences to the family. I am so very sorry for your loss. May God provide the necessary peace and comfort to your family and friends during this difficult time. Please remember these words of encouragement from the Bible: “Jesus plainly told her: I am the resurrection and the life. He that exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life.” —John 11:20-25.

Linda loved to talk about her horses.
And she was always concerned about her students who were struggling and trying to figure out what she could do to help them.
I loved it when she was a hostess for Delta Kappa Gamma as she brought the BEST cherry dessert. It had cream cheese and a graham cracker crust. SO delicious!
