Obituary of Vali Bhula

Vali Bhula passed away peacefully at home in Houston, Texas on Sunday, August 4th, 2024, at the age of 93. Vali is preceded in death by her parents, Galalbhai Patel and Laxmiben Patel; husband of 55 years, Naran Bhula; and brother Bhavanbhai Patel. Left to cherish Vali’s memory are her sons, Jayantilal Bhula, Dilipkumar Bhula, and Narendra Bhula; daughters, Damayanti Nanu, and Divia Bhula; brother, Amratlal Patel; eight grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and a host of many other family and friends.

Vali was born in Vakaner, India, in 1930. She lived in South Africa for over 20 years and over 35 years in the United States. Vali was a very social person who enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was especially fond of her grandchildren. An avid reader, she enjoyed keeping up with world news, thanks to her excellent memory, she was able to keep up with current events even up until her passing. Vali also loved to cook and eat spicy food, passing on her cooking knowledge to her children. Vali will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral Services for Vali will be held on Thursday, August 8th, 2024, at Clayton Funeral Home of Pearland. Services will begin at 12:00pm. Condolences for Vali’s family may be left online at www.claytonfuneralhomes.com
