I really missed seeing Raymond at our 50th Yoe High School reunion two years ago. We had lost contact for about 35 years ago and finally "got together" at Robert Turner's barber shop in Academy, Texas of all places. He showed off his newest passion at the time, which was a mandolin. We had a lot of good times from 1st grade at St. Anthonys through high school hanging out at his home with his family, especially his mom Irene who was a fun lady.
May his soul rest in peace with the LORD!

My deepest sympathy goes to Raymond’s family. His mom & dad were good friends with mine & I remember going to his house as kid & playing while our mother’s played cards & drank coffee. Those were the good old days. We all (his brothers & sister) went to school together & were always good friends. I think the last time I saw Raymond was several years ago at Bob’s Steakhouse in Cameron. He really hadn’t changed much from high school. I’m glad we got to visit for a bit. Raymond always had such a great personality!! I know he’s flying high in heaven & doing everything he loved to do. I pray that his family draws strength from the love that they’ve received & that God will help them through the difficult days ahead.

Ray was a great guy. It has always been Ray and Sandy. The party never started until he got there or ended until he was the last one there. Always entertaining. Reunions will never be the same. I’m sure he’s entertaining someone right now and telling a good story.
