Ruth Ibarra Rios passed away in Houston, Texas, on Monday, August 12th, 2024, at the age of 64. She is preceded in death by her father, Felipe Ibarra Chacon. Left to cherish Ruth’s memory are her husband of 14 years, Sergio Fonseca; sons, Rogelio Martinez, Genaro Rios, and Sean Collins; daughter, Ruth

Rios; brother, Juan Ibarra; grandchildren, Allessandra Martinez, Arianna Martinez, Josiah Hamlin, Mia Rios, Idris Rios, and Sara Rios; along with a host of many other family and friends.

 

Ruth was a loving and generous woman who was very committed to her family. She loved helping people and giving care to others. Ruth was very friendly and kind to everyone she met. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and was affectionately known as “Grandma” to her

grandkids. Although it was a 12-hour drive, Ruth made it a point to visit her mother whenever she could. Ruth was also strong in her Christian faith. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

 

Funeral services for Ruth will be held at Clayton Funeral Home of Pearland on Monday, August 19th, 2024. Ruth’s family will receive guests from 10:00 to 11:00 am, with the service commencing at 11:00 am. Interment will follow the service at Confederate Cemetery in Alvin, Texas.
