Obituary of Israel Octavio Amezcua

Please share a memory of Israel to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Israel Octavio Amezcua passed away on Friday, August 9th, 2024, in Sugarland, Texas, at the age of 46. He is preceded in death by his father, Jose Guadalupe Amezcua. Left to cherish Israel’s memory are his mother, Francisca (Venegas) Amezcua; wife, Brenda (Garcia) Amezcua; sons, Liam Amezcua, Israel Amezcua, and Jossel Flores; daughter, Michelle Amezcua; and a host of many other family and friends.

Israel lived his life fully in all aspects. He didn’t leave things half done and was exceptional at everything he did. Israel was an amazing father and stopped at nothing to give his children everything they needed. Whenever he could, he loved to have his kids together with him, and would call them every chance he got. Israel was a great father, wonderful friend, exceptional husband, and a great hardworking man.

Israel loved watching sports, but his favorite was always “soccer”. He also enjoyed cooking and eating food like crawfish, seafood, and tacos. Israel would always cook way more food than his family could eat. He could also be spontaneous, deciding to take a road trip to visit his cousins in Indianapolis one day, and going to Chicago the next day. Israel was always up for a new adventure. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services for Israel will be held at St. Helen Catholic Church in Pearland, Texas, on Tuesday, August 20th. A Rosary will be recited at 12:30 pm, and a Funeral Mass will begin at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow the Mass at Confederate cemetery in Alvin, Texas. Condolences for Israel’s family may be left online at www.claytonfuneralhomes.com
