Obituary of Inese Klekers

Inese Klekers passed away in Houston, Texas, on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, atthe age of 84. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Erna Venners; her husband, A.J. Klekers; and cousins, Andy and John Kleinhofs. Left to cherish Inese’s memory are her son, A. R. Klekers and wife Suzanne; grandchildren, Ian and Emily; cousins, Juris Vairogs and Parsla Pruitt; and a host of other family and friends.

Inese grew up in Stillwater, Oklahoma and Lincoln, Nebraska. She would spend most of her life in Corpus Christi, Texas, before moving to Pearland, Texas, to be close to her grandchildren. A lifelong artist, Inese received an art degree from the University of Nebraska and worked as an artist for the Corpus Christi Board of Education. Inese was very involved in the PTA at Incarnate Word Academy, and the Corpus Christi Ballet during the late 1980’s and early 1990’s. Later in life her true joy was spending time with her grandchildren. Inese loved art and traveling, especially the beaches and the ocean. Above all she loved her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

 A Visitation for Inese will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at Clayton Funeral Home of Pearland, from 6:00 to 7:00 pm. Her Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 23, 2024, at Seaside Funeral Home in Corpus Christi, Texas, beginning at 10:30 am.
