Mrs. Berry made a big impression on me. She taught me both in 6th grade and chemistry in high school. Her love of learning and teaching inspired me.

Ms. Berry was my science teacher and mother to a best friend Joe. I spent many hours at their house. She was a wonderful teacher and friend. My prayers are with the family. Many memories there.

MaBear was a Berry good woman to so many. Her family was as big as her heart and our small town became a little smaller with this loss. She was all the things that a family expected a Mother to be and she let that motherly love flow into all that she encountered. She brought people into her home and if you were lucky enough to hear some stories you knew you were in the presence of something rare. She will be missed as much as she was loved

Judy was one of the charter members of our chapter, Theta Zeta, of Delta Kappa Gamma International which was established in 1967. She was active in our chapter until she could no longer attend meetings. We were happy to present her with a 50 year pin in 2007. She will be missed and remembered with admiration and affection.

I had her class with several great friends and they all ended up getting separated from each other for cutting up a lot, so I think she lumped me in there with them in her mind because I saw her at church about 6 years later and said, “Hi Mrs. Berry, I’m Melissa Hager, I had you in 1996-1997” to which she responded, “oh yes, you were bad.” She probably meant I was bad at Chemistry because I just couldn’t grasp so much of it so save my life, or maybe she truly thought I misbehaved, but this memory stuck with me, and so I will always have a little smile when I think of her because of it. Rest well, Mrs. Berry!

Sincere condolences to the family. I am so very sorry for your loss. May God provide the necessary peace and comfort to your family and friends during this difficult time. Please remember these words of encouragement from the Bible: “Jesus plainly told her: I am the resurrection and the life. He that exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life.” —John 11:20-25.

Ms Berry was one of the best teachers I ever had! 6th grade science where she taught us how to make paper!
She was such an inspiration to so many. She loved her church where she sang in the choir and served in ministries assisting others in need. Always with a smile and always making time to stop and talk. So blessed that you were a wonderful part of my life!
