Obituary of Thomas "Kelly" Niland

Thomas “Kelly” Niland, 62, passed away peacefully of natural causes on Friday, November 29, 2024, at his home in Houston, Texas. He is preceded in death by his father, T.K. Niland and his brother, Kirwin Niland. Kelly is survived by his children, Hannah Nicole Niland, Samuel Thomas Niland and Abigail Anne Niland; his mother, Mildred Niland; his brother, Casey Niland and his wife, Sondra; his sister, KT Niland; his sister-in-law, Katy Niland Murphy and her husband, Kevin; aunt, Dorothy Niland Toole; aunt, Jennie Moore; cousins, Annette O’Toole, Connie Moore, Mark Moore, Matt Moore and Mike Moore; nephew, Jared Niland and his wife, Courtney; nieces, Madelyn Niland, Sydney Niland Sunn and Jennifer Bertnick and her husband, Joe.

Kelly graduated from Pearland High School (1980) and Texas A&M University (1984) with a BBA in Accounting. He worked his entire career in the investment industry where he obtained a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) license. He loved his family, hunting and especially pole vaulting with his highest vault being 14’ 6”. Kelly will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

There will be a small, private gathering for immediate family only. His final resting place will be at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in the Niland Family plot.
