Obituary of Allen Dennis Rogers
Allen Dennis Rogers, 61, of Friendswood, Texas, passed away on Sunday, December 8th, 2024, leaving behind a legacy defined by adventure, service, and love. Dennis embraced life to the fullest, always ready for the next thrill—whether soaring through the sky, racing down a ski slope, or immersed in the depths of the water, Dennis was always seeking his next thrill. A true adrenaline junkie, his life was one of excitement, passion, and boundless energy.
Dennis was a skilled skydiver, diver, skier, and motocross enthusiast, never shying away from the wild and exhilarating experiences life had to offer. His love for adventure extended to his cherished "Jeep Life," where he reveled in the freedom of the open road and the camaraderie of his fellow off-roaders. For Dennis, life was meant to be lived fully—no challenge too great, no adventure too daring.
But Dennis was much more than a thrill-seeker. He was a dedicated first responder, devoted to protecting and serving his community. His career as a police officer and firefighter began in high school when he volunteered as a firefighter, a calling he carried with him throughout his life. Dennis’ commitment to service and his willingness to help others was a defining part of who he was, and his bravery and selflessness will always be remembered by those he served.
Away from his uniform, Dennis had a deep love for his family ranch, where he spent countless hours raising his beloved Longhorns and caring for the land. He found peace and purpose in the quiet moments spent on the ranch, where his heart was in harmony with nature and the animals he loved so much.
Dennis' greatest passion, however, was his family. A true “mama's boy” at heart, he cherished his role as a father, and grandfather. He was especially proud of his daughters, always ready to offer a helping hand—whether it was fixing a car, lending an ear, or simply showing up when they needed him most. Giving was Dennis’ love language, and his generosity knew no bounds. His family, friends, and community were better for knowing him, and his love for life was contagious.
A godly man with a strong & growing faith, Dennis knew that the true joy of life came from living with purpose, kindness, and a heart full of gratitude. He was always quick to help those in need and never hesitated to lend a hand to those less fortunate. His legacy will live on in the lives of all who were fortunate to know him.
Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, Billy Joe Rogers and Ethel (Lewis) Rogers and brother, Gregory Crawford Rogers. Left to cherish Dennis’ memory are his daughters, Destiny Rogers Gomez and husband Domingo, Keirsten Hood, Katelyn Del Angel and husband Misael; brother, Billy Joe Rogers Jr and wife Betty Sue; grandchildren, Eleazar Del Angel, Blake Rogers Gomez, Domingo Gomez Jr; along with a host of many other family and friends.
Rest in peace, Dennis. Your adventures on earth may have come to an end, but your legacy of service, love, and passion will continue to inspire all who knew you.
