Obituary of Katie Jane Norman

Katie Jane (Janie) Norman, 75, of Friendswood, Texas, passed away on Monday, January 13^th, 2025. She is preceded in death by her parents, JP Norman and Pearl (Maxwell) Norman, and brother, Charlie Norman. Left to cherish Janie’s memory are her sister-in law Billie (widow of Charlie),  brothers Jerry Norman and wife Bobbie, Joe Norman and wife Patty, and Johnny Norman; nephews, Chris Norman and wife Rosie, Michael Norman and wife Lisa,  Jason Norman and wife Tammy,  and Justin Norman; great nieces and nephews, Haley, Alicia, Zach, Makalah, Noah, Ethan, and Braden; great-great nephews, Brooks, Briggs, and Knox; and a host of many other family and friends.

Janie was a loving aunt, sister, and friend who enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family. Every holiday and family event, Janie loved to cook for her family. She was always experimenting with new recipes for them to try. Janie would spend time each year crafting her costume for Halloween and would dress up as Mrs. Clause for Christmas. She enjoyed playing dominos, cards, and cheering on the Houston Astros as well. Janie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services for Janie will be held at Clayton Funeral Home of Pearland on Thursday, January 16^th, 2025. Her family will be receiving guests from 5:00 to 6:00 pm, with the service commencing at 6:00 pm. She will be laid to rest the following day, Friday, January 17, 2025, at Concord Cemetery in Iola, Texas, at 11:00 am.
