Please share a memory of Douglas "Doug" to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Douglas Edward Quiñones, born on July 23, 1959, in San Antonio, TX, went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 27, 2025. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Tanya Quiñones along with their seven children Nathan, Seth (wife Elizabeth` Quiñones), Erin (fiancée Darius Beige), Katy (husband Mathew Story), Krysta (husband Wiley Moss), Ethan and Noah, his four beautiful grandchildren Novie, Gideon, Ivan, and Kiley, his two nephews Alex Quiñones, Paul Quiñones and his step-brother Julio “Rene” Jaramillo.

Douglas was predeceased by his father Alejandro Quiñones, his stepmother Margie Quiñones, his mother Maria LeBron, his brother Alex Quiñones, his sister Jasmine O’Neal, and his niece Jasmine Quiñones.

Douglas was born in Texas but spent most of his adolescent years in Puerto Rico. He moved back to Texas where, after he graduated high school, he completed almost three years of college before transitioning to full-time work as an electrical designer. He worked as an electrical designer for 37 years before transitioning to the role of project manager. Throughout his life he served many roles in church from Children’s Pastor at Crosspoint Fellowship Church to Deacon at Parkway Church.

Douglas was full of life, always looking for adventure. He was known to search for “what needs to be done” and he would accomplish it with a servant’s heart. He would come home from a basketball tournament, prepare for a deacons meeting at church the next day, and still be up and ready to help one of his kids with a project the following day. He loved to laugh and his smile, which he passed to all his children, was known by all who met him. He treated everyone like family because family was at his core. He loved to sit at the dinner table where eruptions of laughter filled the room. He never met someone he wouldn’t greet with a hug, a smile and ask about their life. He loved to play games whether pool, darts, card games, board games, basketball or volleyball; anything where he could compete and have fun. Most importantly, Douglas loved the Lord Jesus Christ and followed him faithfully since the day of his salvation in 1981. In the mornings, before the sun came up, he could be found sitting with his Bible reading and praying. He was always ready to share the gospel and the light of Christ that filled his life. He would randomly burst into praise songs as he went about his day smiling and prodding people to join him. He worked hard and diligently reminding his children that everything is done unto Christ.

Now through the pain of his passing, he sings and dances with Christ in glory, still bearing witness through all who are left behind with his memory that Christ is good and worthy of all honor, praise, and glory. He will be deeply missed.
