Obituary of Jan Patrick Bugarin Gomez

Jan Patrick Bugarin Gomez passed away in Houston, Texas, on Tuesday, February 18^th, 2025, at the age of 46. Patrick is preceded in death by his father, Renato Gomez. Left to cherish Patrick’s memory are his mother, Marilou Bugarin; daughter, Shalimar Gomez; brothers, Jay Gomez and wife Marian, Jose Angelo Gomez and partner Gabby; sister, Celine Gomez; and a host of many other family and friends.

Patrick was a very passionate servant of Christ who was always overflowing with love for Jesus. He was very passionate about his servitude. Patrick never missed practice for the praise and worship team at Word International Ministries, even when he had to come straight from dialysis treatment. He would always end his days by playing worship songs on the piano each night.

Patrick was overflowing with kindness and forgiveness, always carrying himself with grace and warmth. He would go to great lengths to show people that he cared for them and loved them. This was especially true of his daughter, Shalimar, whom he adored. Patrick held his family in a special place in his heart as well, always finding time to spend with his mom, even when he felt weak or tired.

Patrick was a hard worker, never afraid to take on a challenge. He was a skilled musician on multiple instruments and enjoyed photography as a hobby. Patrick will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services for Patrick will be held at Clayton Funeral Home of Pearland. Visitation times will be held on Thursday, February 27^th, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, Friday, February 28^th, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and Saturday, March 1^st, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Patrick’s funeral service will follow the visitation on Saturday, March 1^st, beginning at 3:00 pm. Following the service, a reception will be held at Word International Ministry Church beginning at 5:00 pm. (3235 Southwestern Rd, Manvel, Tx 77578) If you are unable to attend the funeral service on Saturday, a short service will also be held at 6:00 pm on Friday, the 28^th.

Patrick's family requests that everyone wear white to the service on Saturday.
