We’ve had the pleasure of living next door to the Bhatta family for 35 years — it’s hard to believe it’s been that long. We’ve known Gautam since he was in his early twenties, and in all that time, he was always warm, kind, and generous.
I’ll never forget how he once helped my son Matthew with a video project for school. He always took the time to say hello to my other son, Kevin, and me whenever we passed by and saw him outside. He also shared a special connection with my husband Steve — Gautam helped him with dental work, and Steve would often return the favor by helping with his car.
We shared some wonderful meals with the Bhatta family, celebrating holidays and birthdays together. I especially remember one gathering where Gautam treated us to his love of singing and karaoke — it was such a nice moment.
We have so many fond memories of Gautam. He will truly be missed.
