With hearts overflowing with love and cherished memories, we announce the passing of Rosa Gloriola Moreno-Fink, a vibrant and devoted soul who brought joy and warmth to all who knew her. Born in Monterrey, Mexico on September 4, 1959, to Maria del Socorro Vázquez-Moreno and Pedro Galindo-Moreno, Rosa’s life was a testament to the power of family, resilience, and the enduring strength of love.

Rosa was welcomed into eternal peace on April 7, 2025, in La Porte, Texas, after a courageous battle with cancer. She is now reunited with her beloved mother, her four grandparents, her cherished nephew John Calvin Conley, and the love of her life, Vincent Joseph Fink.

Moving to Houston with her family in 1967, Rosa embraced her new home while always holding her Mexican roots close to her heart. She graduated from Dobie High School in the late 70’s, embarking on a life journey that would be defined by her deep connections with others. It was in 1980 that she married Vincent, the true love of her life, and together they built a foundation of unwavering affection.

Rosa was a force of nature, brimming with life and an infectious passion for dancing. Her greatest joys were found in her family. She was the proud and loving mother of two beautiful children, Teresa Marie Fink (born in 1981) and Vincent Joseph Fink (born in 1984).

Her love expanded with the arrival of her three grandsons, Reed Anhorn (2001), Brock Blanton (born in 2003) and Joseph Wood (born in 2008), who brought her immense happiness. She was over the moon with happiness when she welcomed step-grandsons Angel Barragan (born in 1998) and Blake Elston (born in 2005), as well as great-grandson Dylan Landaverde (born in 2002). She eagerly awaited the arrival of her great-granddaughter Celeste next month, a new generation to shower with affection.

Rosa is lovingly remembered by her father, Pedro; her brother, Pete; and her two sisters, Lilia and Diana. She also leaves behind her nephews Tristan Afre (born in 1982), Sean Milligan (born in 1998), and Joel Gonzalez (born in 1988); her niece Michaela (born in 1990); her devoted daughter-in-law, Tina; and numerous cousins, all of whom were touched by her warmth and caring spirit.

In 2016, Rosa faced a significant health challenge with a stroke. Yet, her indomitable spirit and deep love for her family propelled her forward, refusing to let it diminish her zest for life. Following the heartbreaking loss of her beloved Vincent in 2017, Rosa demonstrated incredible strength and unwavering love, creating a stable and nurturing home for her daughter and grandsons. Her resilience and devotion were an inspiration to all who witnessed them.

Rosa’s legacy is one of profound love, unwavering commitment to family, and an unyielding spirit in the face of adversity. She taught us the importance of cherishing our loved ones and living each day with joy and determination. Her memory will forever dance in our hearts.

A celebration of Rosa's life will be held on April 19 at 11:00 AM at Bayshore Baptist Church in La Porte.
