Francis Maxwell “Frank” Davis, a resident of Pearland, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2005 at the age of 81 years. Frank was born September 6, 1924 in Daisetta, Texas to James Holland and Alma L. Evans Davis. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Navy and retired from Monsanto Chemical Co. after 30 years of service. After retiring, Frank enjoyed working with his son at Holland’s Pearland Exxon.
Frank is survived by a loving family; his wife of 49 years, Ann R. Davis; son and daughter-in-law, John Holland and Tammie Davis, of Pearland; two daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Dennis Klesel, of New Hampshire and Marcella Ann and Mark Lowrey, of San Antonio; two brothers, Delbert Davis, of Austin and Bethel Davis, of North Carolina; sister, Lois Tyer, of Illinois; and ten grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2 – 4 PM Sunday, November 6, 2005, and a celebration of Frank’s life will follow at 4 PM, at Clayton Funeral Home of Pearland with Mr. Steve Ashworth officiating. A private interment will be held at the Houston National Cemetery. For those desiring, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
