Obituary of John William Moore

John William Moore II, 57, of Pearland, Texas, lost his courageous battle with cancer at his home on June 5, 2011 surrounded by his family. He is preceded in death by his mother, Velma Haney Moore. John is survived by his father, John W. Moore; his loving wife of 28 years, Brenda S. Moore; son, John Cody Moore; daughter, Meredith Laing Xavier and son-in-law, Yuri; sisters, Diann Hayes, Linda Carter and her husband, Larry; Jackie Fletcher and her husband, William Gary; and a host of many other family and friends. John was in his 29th year with ABM Industries. He also served as a West Virginia State Trooper for 9 years. He received his certification as a C.P.P. John achieved the rank of Eagle Scout as a young man and loved the outdoors and spending time with his family. The love of John’s life was his family. John lived a full and active life and enjoyed good health until he was diagnosed with cancer in January of 2011. His nature as a true gentleman, wisdom and warmth will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. A Memorial Service for John will be held on Sunday, June 12, 2011. Visitation will start at 10:00 am and the service will begin at 11:00 am at Clayton Funeral Home at 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581 with David Rodefeld and Mike Weatherl officiating.
