Obituary of Thaxton Glenn Roberson
Glenn Roberson passed away April 26, 2025. Glenn is preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers, and two sisters.
Glenn is survived by his wife of 49 years, Marcia Gale Roberson; his brother Thematric Roberson and wife Laverne; his sisters Verlie Govan and Portia E. Georgie and husband Willie; his sons Glen Roberson and wife Kelly, and Brandon Roberson and wife Grace; and grandchildren Gavin, Gaige, Khloe, Ava, Mia, and Ian.
Glenn accepted Christ at an early age. Glenn attended and graduated from Lexington High School, Lexington, TX. Growing up he loved riding horses and had a beloved pet horse named Comanche. This horse was around for many years. He was around when Glenn married the love of his life Marcia Gale Smith Roberson. Glenn and Gale were inseparable, when you saw one, the other was right there or not far away. Glenn also had a passion for classic cars, especially his 1969 Nova, which has been his baby since 1992. The neighbors on the street were very tolerable and generous, not to have complained to Glenn about this loud vibrating machine. It could be heard throughout the neighborhood when he started it up to take it out for a ride. A hard worker at heart and a wonderful provider for his family. Glenn worked in the Construction and Engineering Industry for over 47 years with three different companies, Ceco, Baker Engineering, and last, Harvey Builders, Inc., as a foreman, Superintendent, and Supervisor, respectively. Glenn's true passion was not seen until he became a grandfather of six and earned the name of Pahpah.
However, to his two sons Glen and Brandon, Glenn was known as Dad. Glenn's relationship with his sons even kept his wife Gale in constant awe. The three of them had a bond that was stronger than Gorilla Glue. Reciprocal respect and love radiated throughout from the time his sons entered into this world until the time their dad, Glenn, closed his eyes on April 26, 2025.
This kind-hearted, soft-spoken man will be truly missed as a rock-solid husband, respectful father and grandfather, a doting father-in-law, loving brother, a true brother-in-law, a loving uncle, nephew, and a true friend to all who knew him.
Services for Glenn will be held on Saturday, May 3rd, 2025, at Clayton Funeral Home of Pearland. The family will receive guests for a visitation from 9 AM to 10 AM, with the service beginning at 10 AM.
