Jo Ann Johnson of Baytown, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2025, at the age of 82. She was born on November 27, 1942, in Yakima, Washington.

Jo Ann lived a long and meaningful life filled with love, resilience, and a great sense of humor. She was a devoted mother and is survived by her children, Odell Parker and wife Robin of Webb Alabama, Lisa Parker of Pasadena Texas, and Lori Parker of League City Texas. Jo Ann is also survived by her 8 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and several great-great grandchildren who brought immense joy and pride to her life.

Jo Ann was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Renae Johnson; her parents, Firm and Delores Miller; and her siblings Carollee Miller, Ralph Miller, Jerry Miller, Delores Miller, and Gloria Miller.

Jo Ann was a long-time dedicated employee of Kroger, where she worked in the bakery department. She took great pride in her work, brightening the days of customers and coworkers alike with her warm smile and strong work ethic. She was also a proud and active member of The Fraternal Order of Eagles in La Porte, Texas beginning in 1993, where she found lasting friendships and served her community with heart and humor. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her. Jo Ann’s legacy of love, humor, and cheerfulness will continue to inspire those who were blessed to know her.

A viewing will be held on Friday June 27, 2025 from 10-10:45am at Clayton Funeral home in La Porte Texas.
