Obituary of Anna Braafladt

Anna Braafladt, age 82, passed away on June 11, 2008, surrounded by her loving children. She is survived by her husband, Col. James Braafladt; sons, John Bumpass and Gary Bumpass & his wife Donna; daughter, Anita Formby and her husband Harry; stepdaughters, Pat Meddick & her husband John, and Annie Teal & her husband Peter; sister, Elizabeth Barron; grandchildren, John, Johnny, Justin, & Nathan; great-grandchild, Kayla; and a host of other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Johann & Maria Muller; sister, Ritschi Ennis; and her first husband, LaJoria John Bumpass. Anna was born in Katzengrun, Czechoslovakia in 1926. She was a wonderful mother and a loving person. Anna married Col. James Braafladt in 1981. They enjoyed traveling together all over Europe and the United States. In her later years, she loved spending time with her family. Visitation for Anna will be held on Sunday, June 15, 2008, from 2 pm to 4 pm at River City Funeral Home, 14315 Judson Road, San Antonio, Texas 78233, 210-653-3930. Graveside services will take place on Monday, June 16, 2008, at 1:00 pm at Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, Texas.
