Dear June, Bryce, Cason and Callie- like a lot of people I wish I could spend more time with Ken. Especially when I remember his warm and friendly way–his eclectic interests and his courage in business. He continues to touch my life to this day. I pray God comforts and guides each of you as you find your signature song, your charming talent. You have DNA working for you too so my expectations are kinda high.

Ken and I worked together many years ago. We had a great friendship and he was a source of inspiration and a good friend. Our paths haven’t crossed for many years and I went looking for him to have the opportunity to re-establish a working relationship. I am both shocked and saddened to hear of ken’s passing, this is one of the saddest things to have happened. Such a wonderful, honest man with a wonderful friendly personality and would do anything to assist. To his family I send my heartfelt condolensces from the UK and i am grateful to have had the opportunity to have worked with such a kind and warm man. Ken will be missed by all who knew him.

I strived so hard to be like you and I still do to this day. im at LSU dad! I wish you could see me now, but not near as much as I wish I could see you. You are my world dad and it hurts to know that I will never see you again… I used to call your cell phone just to hear your voice… someone else has your number now… Oh my god I love you so much dad.

It was sad to hear of ken’s passing .. I meet ken back a few years ago and had the pleasure to maintain his plumbing at his Pearland home .. He was such a wonderful man and always had a positive attitude and was willing to lend a helping hand. I’ll never forget how he showed me how his wiener dog could dive under water for a tennis ball and surface to this day that has stuck with me when I think of ken.. . He was a intelligent person and gave me insightful tips and had a different look on life … I know ken is in a better place guiding his family .. My condolences go out to the family and friends .. Ken we will miss you !!!! Until we cross paths again .

Oh how saddened I was to hear this news. Though I haven’t seen or spoken to Ken for many years, I remember our times together like they were yesterday. I was so happy to read that Ken had enjoyed living in Lebanon, Illinois so much because all of us from Lebanon sincerely enjoyed having his family with us! My sympathy to his family, his wife, and children – I pray that you can always remember the wonderful times you had with Ken and move forward with your lives just as he would have wanted you to.
God Bless All of You!

To the extended family of Ken Reeder,
I remember Ken’s wit and outgoing personality with a nostalgic fondness associated with the Wonder Bread years we shared in Lebanon. All of the Reeders were strong and lively presences, and I send my best wishes, in particular, to Roxanne and Larry who, like Ken, helped to make high school fun and memorable. Ken was a very charming guy. Mitch

This has to be one of the saddest things I’ve ever had to write. I met Ken in 1977 at La. Tech doing theatre. And we’ve had many good times together since, particularly in New Orleans for Mardi Gras, JazzFests and French Quarter Fests. We also had some great times and made some great memories when he visited NYC. I especially remember one Easter Sunday when he had the whole family up and we all went to see Mary Poppins.
To June, Bryce, Cason, Callie and Roxanne: Know you all are in our thoughts. Ken was a true prince of a guy and the world is a poorer place without him. But he will live on in all our hearts.

Today is a very sad day as I learned of Ken’s passing. He didn’t leave this earth without leaving his print on the lives of many people. I met Ken at La. Tech while I was working on my master’s. Ken was in my production of CINDERELLA. Ken was fun, smart and full of life. He made a wonderful Prince Charming. We were able to reminiscence those fun times just before he became ill. There was just something about Ken that when he was near, especially when he was talking about plans and the future, it just felt like everything was going to be fine. He exuded confidence, and he instilled it in others. We are grateful that we knew him, for the opportunities he and June provided, and for the great things he taught us. There are not words to express our feelings about Ken and his place in our lives and now his passing. Our hearts go out to June, the kids and the rest of Ken’s family and friends.

Ken brought so much joy and fun to all of our lives. He was kind, fair, loyal, honest, and he could always find the humor in life. But, the most wonderful thing about Ken was the obvious love he had for his wife and kids. He would just light up when June walked into the room. He loved telling stories about his children and his devotion was so obvious. I will miss Ken terribly but I consider myself so lucky to have known him. The world has lost a good, decent human being.

June,
I am so terribly saddened by the loss of Ken and will continue to pray for your family as you all mourn his passing. I feel privileged to have gotten to know him as we all worked together on projects for the past few years. I could easily see what a special man he was, what a strong joyous marriage you shared with him and what a great, loving father he was to Cason and Calley. He was a man of honor and integrity who loved life and was generous in providing for his family and friends. He will truly be a legacy in the memories of all who knew him. May God continue to grant you peace and strength.

It was such an Honor & Privilege knowing Ken. I had the pleasure of working with Ken for 8-years and cannot recall a day when he wasn’t smiling or laughing about something. His love for June and his children was evident in the stories he shared and the way his face would light up at the mention of their names. We will all miss him more deeply than words can adequately express. The world was certainly a better place for having him in it. Our prayers are with the entire Reeder / Kanai family during this difficult time. May God bless you all.
