Obituary of Ramon Gamez

Ramon Gamez Sr., age 40, passed away suddenly on June 15, 2008. He is preceded in death by his brother, Alexander Gamez Sr. He is survived by his loving wife Sylvia; son, Ramon Gamez Jr.; daughters, Marlene Gamez and Adrienne Michelle Gamez; parents, David P. Sr. & Elidia Gamez; brothers, David P. Gamez Jr. and Frank Gamez Sr. & his wife Sonya; sisters, Angie G. Saldana & her husband Pablo, Nancy Duron, Cindy Regalado, Betty Hernandez & her husband Juan, Naomi Gamez, and Krystal Torres & her husband Jose; uncle, Frank “Pancho” Gamez; grandchild, Marcus Anthony Dimas III; and a host of other family & friends. Ramon grew up in the Pearland/Brookside area. He was a self-employed mechanic who could fix anything, working extremely hard to be a good provider for his family. Ramon was very devoted to Sylvia and his children. He loved to go fishing, camping, and barbequing with his family and friends. Ramon also enjoyed dancing and playing pool. He was loved by everyone who knew him and will be greatly missed and fondly remembered. Visitation for Ramon will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2008, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Clayton Funeral Home with the Rosary being recited at 7:00 PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, June 20, 2008, at 10:00 AM at St. Helen Catholic Church, 2209 Old Alvin Road, Pearland, Texas 77581. Father Reggie Nesvadba will be officiating. Interment will follow at SouthPark Cemetery in Pearland.
